After a career break of four years, I made writing CVs my focus and founded Caversham CV Writing in 2012.

I live in Reading, Berkshire, with my husband, our three teenagers and Molly the Cavapoo – there’s never a dull moment in our house!
A certified Human Resource Management professional, I have 8 years of experience in talent acquisition and have managed strategic recruitment projects across various sectors and levels. With a strong passion for unlocking individuals’ full potential, I combine my recruitment expertise, attention to detail, and storytelling abilities to empower job seekers. I play a pivotal role in assisting clients in showcasing their skills, experience, and achievements to stand out in today’s competitive job market. Recognising the significance of a strong online presence in the digital landscape, I guide clients in creating compelling profiles that attract attention from recruiters and employers. With a master’s degree in human resource management and a bachelor’s degree in project management, I am also a member and currently studying to qualify for Level 5 of the Chartered Institute of Professional Development (UK).
For 30 years I have been leading businesses in a variety of industries and the NHS. During my career I have recruited for a huge number of roles and professional levels. I understand what employers look for, and what job seekers need, and provide career, CV and interview support, and have a strong understanding of how to achieve success. For the last 9 years I have been a school careers governor. I have delivered CV writing workshops and interview skills training and have gained a valuable perspective of the challenges and unique needs of those beginning their careers. I enjoy helping those starting out, and experienced professionals wanting support and guidance. I love coaching and developing others and my satisfaction comes with helping others succeed.
I spent 16 years working within successful management, HR, and resourcing teams in various sectors including retail, gaming and betting, leisure and hospitality, automotive, and food and beverage. In 2018, I was fortunate to be able to take a career break to spend time raising my 2 children. I am still a full-time parent, however, since 2020 I have been writing CVs for clients across the UK and the wider world! I spent many years working with managers and employees to ensure business and personal targets were achieved through coaching and performance management, and ensuring all members of the team were given opportunities to learn and develop. One of my skills is highlighting capabilities and giving people the confidence to reach for their career goals. I take great pride in delivering comprehensive CVs that get results and the biggest buzz of all for me is when clients call/email with those 4 magic words: I GOT THE JOB!
